It’s wonderful to see so many members coming out to play socially on some crisp mornings and sunny afternoons. I think it’s lovely to be out on the lawn playing and then looking back on the verandah to see our croquet family all sitting chatting having their cups of tea.
We are full steam ahead in the planning of our 125th anniversary of the club. At this point, I want to thank the special 125 committee of Vin Darnoc, Richard Savage, Jane Elliston, Kate Burke, Julia Wilson and Donna Craig. It’s most encouraging to sit around the table with them sharing their thoughts, enthusiasm and passion for making this event a huge success. There will be plenty of celebration for everybody and it would be wonderful to see the majority of our members come out to participate even if you don’t play regularly. You’re still very much part of our croquet family.
